I have both Tailoring and Inscription on my mage and I regret it so very much (especially the inscription, as I dropped mining to get it),
They are currently the two most useless professions to have yourself, in the game at the moment. All they can craft are BoE, apart from a few "enchants" that are useable on your own gear only - but these enchants on cloak and shoulders replace other enchants.
Compared to enchanting and jewelcrafting they are way below par.
I've seriously considered dropping one or the other in favor of jewelcrafting - maybe even both to get mining as well.
There is next to no income in inscription and tailoring, and their "unique" crafts are pretty useless.
