with me in raids as a fire mage (the old 10/48/3)
i have terrible mana regen (over 11k fully buffed... thats kings wild int ect..) and about 7k health =S
against the curator (with pots gems everthing really) i use loads of mana against the flare things and when i do a full out twice on the curator thats when i'm usually down... it's any fight really =S for me i can last in a raid untill about 10% thats when i've used pots gems (no innervate or mana tide) and evocation..... against normal mobs ... if i'm not using loads of aoe i can manage to mana conserve... using only about 10%? and i regain that prettyfast befor i fight something else... if i had to kill a group using aoe i get about 5%... i can manage to kill anything (just one) mob that comes right after the group is dead... i lose crap loads of health but i can kill it using 5% mana ^^ mages = kwl.... but still warlocks have all the other advantages such as soulbreak to reduce aggro and stuff :D but mages have other things ... they so huge dmg ... i'm a lvl 70 mage fire and i can just about take down a lvl 71 elite if theres a pretty good tank .... but as a mage you need mana most because as fire you drain lots... if you want to save mana go frost =S but that does a lot less dmg than arcane or fire (or a mixture).... i've never tried arcane/frost but i hear it's ok ^^ happy maging ... warlock deff most fun class i have ever played :) hope this helped .... it didn't help me at all >< now my fingers hurt

Keep flamethrowing, it can help you avoid damage/deaths in pve and is great for pvp. Skip incineration, and put the 2 points in MoE. It helps a lot if you have a solid crit rate.
