Were they arcane?
Maybe they wanted to use some mana before applying mana gem for spp buff (mana gem cant be used at full mana)?

is there any reason why every mage i fought last night in twin peaks always did this before they started attackin me?
i mean,it was just wierd because every mage i was attacking always did that before they started attackin me.
Shouldn't the question be, why are you standing there while the enemy conjures food ?
