Male is an armour Cloth -the weakest
Leather - is not so good
Mail- is good for warriors
Plate-the best
if you are mage you have to go with cloth
if you are warior you can wear all of them
paladin can wear leather
warlock can wear cloth
hunter can wear mail
rogue can wear leather and cloth

Do you actually play WoW?
There are 10 different classes in WoW.
Every class uses a different kind of armor.
You got:
Cloth --> Warlock, Mage, Priest
Leather -> Rogue, Druid
Mail --> Shammy, Hunter
Plate --> Paladin, Warrior, Death Knight
Remember the platewearers learn it at their trainers at level 40, same for hunters and shammys with the mail.
However, a paladin can also wear mail, leather and cloth, but a priest not leather, mail and plate.
Its Plate>Mail>Leather>Cloth
Plate can wear everything under him, same for mail, leather and cloth (however cloth has nothing under him).
The difference is mostly the amount of armor, and you mostly see cloth having caster stats.
