As soon as I hit level 80, it seemed that my money making came to a screeching halt. The dailies in Northrend seem to be way to far spread to do quickly and I've been searching for ways to make money for my epic flyer. Can someone please help or give advice on how to make gold?

I farm for eternal fires = 100g profit in 30 minutes.
I sell 2 to 3 Dragon's Eye gems a week from JC daily = 700 - 1000+g profit in 30 total minutes.
I craft and sell 2 rings per week = 300g profit each.
I disenchant cheap greens on AH, and sell the Infinte Dust for a small profit, or the Greater Cosmic Essence for a big profit.
I purchase stacks of items on AH, and sell them per item at a small profit.
I'll make an occasional tip from JC or enchanting.
I paid for my Epic mount in less than 10 days this way.

Hmm where do you find that AD daily, is it the one in Zul'drak Argent base camp?
Also some tips if not mentioned
Frostweave cloth - drops off all humanoids, they seem to have a decent drop rate from vrukyl in Icecrown. the place there you can do the dailies. they sell for 25g for 20 on my server and if you got a tailor alt or main, you cna get 250g for stack of frostweave bolt on AH. 100 frostweave required to make a stack of frostweave bolts.
as a herber i must say farming adder tongue or lichbloom are a good for the business, the adder sells for 44g a stack and lichbloom around 60g a stack. adders are mostly found in scholar bazin and the best lichbloom spot must be storm peaks, you cna find it in icecrown but usually easier to get to the lich bloom in storm peaks bcs all mobs are not hostile:)
do the dailes in northrend, people should not complain they give alot of cash even if they are somewhat spreaded out:)
Raise the cooking while leveling and start doing all the dailies in the dalaran, there is cooking daily who awards spices and marks which you cna buy recepies and spicies for, you will thank me then you hit lvl 80 you started as soon you can, trust me!
If you are a fisher man start doing the kaluak dailes and do all q who involves them as soon you can, at exalted lvl you cna buy a very good fishing rod which will be needed to fish some of the more pricey fishes(requires 550 fishing).
use your guild, if you have gathering profs that can turn into blues/purples that sell in the AH, grind what you need, toss them to a guildie, get em back and bank that stuff.
i like your bank alt idea, but throwing stuff to a guildie may be tricky. First off alot of people can be involved in a guild and they may not like then someone send them alot of stuff which they expect to bunch back aka return then the guildie who send them said so. Secondly some guildies may get a bit greedy and take something, remember people are human and they may be arses sometimes. Must say your idea of getting a own bank alt is alot better and safer:)

If you are in a guild with people that will steal your stuff, then you need to switch guilds. My guild has over 300 members, and there isn't a single one that I wouldn't trust. I send mats off all the time. The same day I hit 80, I sent off 3 Titansteel Bars, 1 Frozen Orb, and 4 Saronite bars to a blacksmith friend of mine, with a note asking him to make the Shieldwall for me, and to CoD it back for the cost of his services. I got it back with a note saying "Services are free".
As for the fear that a less than reputable guildie might steal from you, just ask him in open guild chat if he can do it, arrange a price for his work, send or hand over the mats, and if he decides to cheap you and take off with your stuff, you have a whole guild worth of witnesses.
Honestly, are there people that are that twisted that they would steal mats sent to them in good faith? I mean, my fiance recieved some enchanting mats from a friend of mine when I sent him some BoE stuff to DE. He didn't see me on, so he gave them to her to get to me. She's mildly dyslexic, so when he wrote "These are for Ellamade" she read "These are FROM Ellamade", and put them on the AH and spent the cash. In that kind of mix up, I could understand it, but they'd still pay you back for what you lost, even if they did do that. At least, a decent person would.
first off i think you are getting a bit defensive here, i did not mean to bash anyone post. I just wanted to enlight that there can be risk doing sending mats to a guildie if you not talked to him or do not know him that well. Ofc the chances are relative low that something like this could happen, but alot of people may join some guilds who are not like your own or the one guild i am in(no, i could send my guildies 50 titan steel bars without getting worried).
But nice you explained your thought on the subject may be on that question i arose.
Also the other part which you seemed to miss was that i said it could seem a bit over done if you send mats to someone so you could get it resend back. An example mister druid lvl up his char from lvl 70 to 80 in guild, he sends alot of mats to a mage in his guild, thru various q and drops he sends alot of material and the mage then logs in and see his mail box are full of stuff until 5 pages(the druid plays alot). He sends back the stuff and do not think so much about it. Next day a similiar event with three pages of material in mail, the mages starts to get a bit annoyed but sends the stuff back. Then on the third day same thing happens and now the mages resumes to talk to the druid, the mage wonder why the druid sends him so much stuff and ask him to stop. So i can say that it is probarly nicer if you do not send stuff to guildies if you do not want something made. It is easy to kit up a bank char with some bags so yourself keeps sending stuff ack or store it.
A good way to make a bank char is simple to ask the guildies to sign that bank char g chart, then you can get a g bank, most of your guildies will have an alt char. if you have a guild you cna use a bank tabard who cna hold alot. Sending one thing in mail cost 30 copper, if you send two it is 60 copper, etc but returning stuff is free if i do not remember wrong.

Look at
this
page. Those are the Dailies you should be doing. Those are the most money-making Dailies I have ever seen and done. In about a week, I've made enough money to buy
TWO
Epic Flyers, and I got mine a month after TBC was released.
I know you don't have a 280% Mount, but atleast you can
fly
. Just start at the Skybreaker or Ogrim's Hammer, and then continue on until you've completed all the Dailies, left to right on the map (or vise-versa).
Something my friend always used to say to me: WoW is a game of patience, hard work and rewards. You work hard, and have patience while doing it, you will be rewarded for it, and well. Don't worry if you don't make 2,000g every day. It'll all add up eventually.

Alright, now I'm going to bed...
