"Not asking to whip out a miracle here," Mercer said hastily. "Just something to consider.
"Myself, I'll try to dig up information on runes. I'm not particularly keen on using arcane, because, let's face it, it's too little removed from fel. So I'll seek a way to tap into the power of the land itself.
"And maybe understanding how to hook up to a ley line will help us travel - after all, that's what happened back there, with Moroes. It's just guesswork, but I'm reasonably sure my guess is an educated one."

JJ nodded.
- "Well it's something worth trying at the very least", he said. "I'll see if I can find the local chapel when we have some time. Given that a goblin town has a chapel for the Light in the first place, money-worshipping buggers that they are."
- "Any idea where you might find a rune-mage or a laywalker?"

"Do you think the boars are more like the in game boars or the real life boars?" Martin asked the group, eyeing the snow for any tracks.

"Religion is business, my friend, and the natives can hardly let an opportunity to make profit go to waste," Alistair smiled dryly.
"And I think blacksmiths and runemasters go along well. Seems like a good place to ask around. If the Baron decides to go along with my proposal word for word, might as well combine a business visit and an investigative one. Should he choose another enterprise, well, we're bound to have
some
free time, yes?"

"Probably more like real boars."

- "Indeed. So are we ready to hit the town and see what it has to offer us or is there still something you need to do in preparation for tomorrow?", JJ asked.

"I wish I had a health bar I could see," Jonas lamented. He stopped at a sharp snuffling sound in the winter quiet. A dark shape became visible against the snow backdrop, half obscured by rustling bushes. Bristling fur and a flash of tusks were seen.

Logan glanced towards the shuffling. "Well, I think we might find out soon." He observed, turning his entire body.

"I could use something to write on," Mercer said after a pause, "So that's one more thing to look around for."
He finished his juice and pushed the empty plate away, "Think I'm good to go."

JJ got up and turned for the door.
- "Thank you for an excellent meal", he shouted over his shoulder towards the counter.
Stepping back into the buzzing street, JJ looked around for a sign for a blacksmith's workshop or a tailor's shop.

Mercer exited the building with a lazy stretch. He was somewhat groggy due to the meal and a walk would hopefully alleviate that. He needed a clear head, for there was still much plotting to be done before the day was over.
"No traffic lights, no jams, but on the flip side, no public transportation. Oh well," he sighed. "Anyhow, I think there was supposed to be a higher concentration of shops near the bank, closer to the mountain wall. We'd better get a detailed map sooner rather than later, but today I'm willing to wander around a little bit, yes?"

- "Sounds good to me", JJ agreed.
Taking a turn towards the nearest set of stairs, the young man began to navigate the streets towards the other side of town. The buildings on this side seemed to consist mostly of housing buildings as well as inns and pubs, with the odd fruit vendor or a bakery in between.
Right at the waterfront, sailors were loading and unloading cargos. Goblin steamers anchored next to galleys, flying the colours of Stormwind and carracks under the flag of Quel'Thalas. The goblins were truly the masters of staying neutral when it came to conflicts between the Alliance and the Horde.
- "Capitalism ho", JJ chuckled at his inner dialogue.

"I think you're right", Stitch agreed quietly and grabbed the musket's hammer. A muffled expletive slipped his lips when he realized it was stuck.

A scrunched, pugnacious face poked from the branches. Two tusks sloped from its mouth and cut into the snow as it snuffled about. It's tiny black eyes caught sight of the men and the boar stopped. It raised its head, snout quivering as it snorted the air. It short black hair clung close to its hide against the winter cold.
"Okay. Time to do whatever it is you do," Jonas murmured, gripping the wand. "What do you do?"
"
Summon a PAWN!
"
"Okay that's cool how?"
"
WILL it!
"
The boar let loose a sudden squeal and lowered its head, its tiny legs beating at the ground as it charged.

"DOOOOOOOOOODGE!" The youngish one shouted to his allies of convenience as the boar made a charge attack. Wait, doesn't charge make some unrealistic overpowered stun? He shrugged. Martin grabbed the hilt of his sword and drew it.
In his hand was a cruel looking blade of a probably unknown metal, a flamberge. That for some reason emitted warm hot air around the steel. Like it's emitting some sort of gas. Though this one did not pay attention to that.

Logan, rather than moving aside as an intelligent person being charged by a wild pig would, rushed forward, throwing his coat to the wind. "Come on!" He shouted, hands coming to his side. Bringing them in, he attempted to catch the tusks of the beast before they could impact him properly, driving forward in an attempt to stop the boar in its tracks.

The boar slammed into the youth, when hand grabbing it tusk it tossed its head to fling him off.
"Oh crap. Oh crap! Ah...ah..." Jonas pointed his wand. "Abracastabra!"
A finger of green lightning stabbed out, bursting against the snow. The white powder vanished in a flash of steam, leaving a violet circle of symbols upon the ground. A scrawny green figure with long curling horns twisted into existence. An imp, his head hidden beneath close pressed helm of black metal and a crude, ill fitting breastplate of similar metal. The little demon cackled, raising a small spear. "Yes! Yes! Free! Ah ha ha-" The boar slammed into the imp, flinging it end over end into the air. "-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Jonas gaped.

Logan rolled through the white powder, snow flinging through the air as he struggled to regain his footing. Shaking, he panted, face red as he raced after the boar. "Get back here!" He shouted. "You need to get eaten!"

"God-Money, I'll do anything for you," Alistair replied absent-mindedly in a sing-song voice, scanning the vista. He found what he was looking for soon enough - a large, rectangular tiered tower of sandstone with roof of red tiles jutted into the sky, easily the tallest structure in the city.
"That right there should be the bank I was talking about. Or was it something else? Not sure of its main purpose, but I'll bet you dolla- sovereigns to scones, lots of shops there," he said, pointing at it.

JJ looked towards the building Mercer was pointing.
- "Well we shall see", JJ said and redirected his course a slightly more towards the tower.
The streets grew more crowded the closer they got to the craftsmen and warehousing districts. Carts moving crates and barrels were being getting moved around. Vendors shouted their special offers. Also the city guard seemed to have a greater presense in the area. Every other corner seemed to have a pair of guards standing around and couple of larger patrols were walking around.
- "Interesting this amount of security", he pointed out. "But I guess faction fights would be bad for business here."
