Yea, so it seems that as far as 1v1 pvp goes:

BM hunter w/BW> MM hunter
BM hunter w/o BM (cd) < MM hunter

MM hunter > everything else

(casters--->silence--->pwnt
melee'ers--->kiteage--->pwnt)

This has certainly been my experience.

I think the best option, judging from what I've heard, is to just wait out the 18 seconds, then pwn their face with what remaining health you have left.

BM hunters own MM hunters

BM is the leveling specc aslo more usefull that MM and Surv in pvp also does high damage in pve

MM is not good for leveling, trash on arena (pvp), but better than BM for pve so BM >MM

wtf? BM is the cookie-cutter leveling spec. Granted. But MM...trash in pvp? I own EVERYONE except BM hunters in bgs.

Arenas are fine, because we can simply heal through your 18 seconds, then whip your rear in 5 seconds.

How many BM Hunters do you see in the top PvP teams? Nada.

And how is MM better than BM in pve? Isn't that why BM is the stereotypical leveling spec? I think you're a tad bit confused Archille

BM Hunters put out more DPS faster then MM Hunters. Well at least ive noticed a difference when i respecced.

I'm not going to get into that debate with you.

However, the key to pvp is burst damage, namely, doing as much damage as possible in ~4 seconds. At this, BM hunters can come nowhere close to MM hunters. Between Aimed Shot and the 6 different attack power/damage dealt multipliers (yes, 6, and I'm not including crit bonus/cooldown/DoT modifiers to that number), MM hunters can pump out more damage than either BM or surv in a span of 5 seconds.

It's not even close.

Also, as I've stated before, the BM Hunter will retarget you after a few milliseconds, earning you maybe half to one second of freedom, which, in all regards, is nothing compared to their 18 seconds.

Quick question, shadow...was the "no wai" directed at what I wrote or tarmo's post? It wasn't very clear.

In any every SV Hunters > 600 agi will pwn both BM and Marks - 35-45% crits is the best burst damage.

1 word. Resilience.

The anti-crit.

There is so much resilience floating around these days that crit becomes damn near useless. AP>crit any day of the week, imho, and in the opinions of all the top pvp hunters on my server...I know, I've asked most of them.

Why do you think the top pvp hunters are usually marks? All the friggin AP multipliers in the Marks tree.

Bunch of MM hunters talking too much here and think that the pet is all we have? Yes BW is our godsend but seriously if your a skilled BM Hunter you have other options. Learn to use them to your advantange..

if u ever duel a BM and u are MM he will try to trap ur pet! just put a snake trap, let his pet come open the trap! some snakes will go on the BM hunter and one will be t!@#$d! now do ur thing! ^^

Who said I'm going to trap (save that $%^& for later).. a skiled hunter uses other options... for you since i know your an MM hunter I'm just going to use "Scare Beast" ( did we forget this existed )

As far as your snake trap idea.. Most MM hunters use scatter shot in the beginning and lay down a trap so go ahead put down a snake trap lol ..."FD" /cast Stoneform (im a dwarf) .. if you frost trapped me /trinket or just wait for it because for sure you aint going to shoot me unless your really stupid.

BW is going to be something I press when your down about 50% -60% and for an MM hunter its pretty easy to get you down. Did you also forget we have Aim Shot too? Arcane... pretty much the same ^&*! you do except isn't a burst..

Come up with something better. This MM Hunter/ BM hunter will always be a debate but in the long run the person behind the monitor with the most skills wins.

Any smart BM Hunter would pop BW as soon as he's in the fight, because he can always have some lucky crits, burst you down to 40%, which isn't hard, silence you, so you can't use BW, then commence pwning you.

As a born BM I would not waste BW on your dumbass in the begginning of this fight because it's people like you that expect it. /gg

An equally skilled BM Hunter will always beat an equally skilled and geared MM Hunter.

Case Closed. I'm done.
