Maw/Poor Off hand vs. Ti'tahk

So I did my first Raid Finder on my druid early this week an hour before the locks reset and won
Ti'tahk, the Steps of Time
and then the next day I ran it again and won
Maw of the Dragonlord
.
Now I know that in combination with a decent off-hand that the mace is an easy choice simply because of it's healing effect, however my best off-hand is currently
Apple-Bent Bough
.
Is it better even with the blue or should I continue using the staff until I get the quest off-hand from Well of Eternity or a Raid Finder OH.
Thanks.

The Path to the Dragon Soul
, which quest reward did you choose? If you haven't done the quest, do it. It's an easy access quest with a hansome reward. After that, Maw +
Demonic Skull
.
If you have already done the quest, well,
Maw is nice but it's somewhat over-rated. It has its uses but only on certain fights it shines. Basically on fights where players are stacked together, use Maw+
Apple-Bent Bough
even though it is a blue item.
edit: I'm such a fool...sorry didn't read your whole post before I start writing. I believe I answered your question but the question itself wasn't really necessary. The quest reward from Well of Eternity can be so easily get, with maximum of an hour spent you will have your quest reward.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not confident in healing HoT's with my ilevel at 363 (Queued for Raid Finder with cloth 377's in my bags) so I'm doing them as Balance and just finished Hour of Twilight and will now queue for End Time and get the off-hand.
However, are you suggesting that even after getting the Demonic Skull that I should use Ti'tahk on fights where players are more spread out, Blackhorn for example?

You'll be fine. Don't worry about it too much.
And no, I would have advise you to use Ti'tahk on fights like Blackhorn when you had a blue off-hand. But once you get the epic quest reward you can just stick with Maw+Skull all the way. Once you start doing normal or heroic mode DS,
Vagaries of Time
(or the heroic version) should be used on fights where players are spread out, not the Maw.
