if you're struggling a bit i would suggest a really simple spec of 0/41/30 (felguard / emberstorm)
this allows the FG to do some of your damage without a geat deal of input from you and your rotation is far simpler.
CoE (unless you're with a moonkin/unholy DK) > corruption > immo > incinerate

I raid with 0/41/30 and I get around 2500-3000 dps on bosses in 10 man naxx. The crit from demonology boosts dps pretty well, and the rotation is simple.

The felguard does about 300-400 dps itself, and master demonlogist gives another 5% dmg. Plus the spell damage from Demonic Knowledge.

0/41/30 is definately my recommendation for lower geared people. I'm still a tad undergeared, running about 60% lvl 70 epics still, so I'm using it till i can catch my gear up. I'm putting out about 2200-2400dps with it. Its a very friendly spec to lower gear levels (and lower skill levels too! )

yes, felguard very, very definately does more damage than the imp.
rotation is incredibly simple (not having to worry about conflag makes it easymode),
CoEle (if no boomkin - CoAg if there is one), corruption, immo, incin spam.
All you have to do is keep immo and corrupt refreshed, and incin spam, its so easy it feel like cheating.
CoAg is really, really great for keeping MC up, and its worth using even over CoEle unless Ele is benefiting someone else as well.

Okay I am in need of help .
Let me see my spec is 4/13/54.
My sp =1547
hit =268
crit15.44%
haste 225.
One thing to consider is the levels of the mobs you are fighting.
Dungeons, Boss level is 82
Raids, Boss level is 83.
Level Hit % HR cap
80 96% 104.93
+1 95% 131.16
+2 94% 157.39
+3 83% 445.94
Hit is a big factor in your over all DPS. Above is the hard caps. Right now you are over hit capped for Dungeons, but under cap for Raids. The soft caps for hit, assuming you took the 3% hit bonus talent is 79(Dungeon) and 368(Raid).
in a Raid setting there would be other buffs to consider, but that gets more technical.
If you are doing heroics to gear for raids, drop some hit for crit or spell power, or haste, but keep that hit gear for Raid level Bosses. If you are doing Raids, look for ways to boost your hit rating. Couning for soft cap that's another 4% dps that you are missing on a raid level.

I've raided Vault, Sanctum, and Naxx 10 man, with a 55/0/16 build, and a 0/41/30 lock and I traded back and forth for top dps depending on how mobility intensive the fight was.
For heroics, I think that either a Destro plus Demonic Aegis build or Felguard/Emberstorm build is the way to go for pure run efficiency. However, for the multitude of complex boss fights that WotLK raiding offers (Sartharion leaps instantly to mind), Affliction is my tree of choice.
