Hehe, just kidding. Hunters get thier melee weapons based off the stats, not their damage/speed/procs.
There are COUNTLESS threads on Hunters' melee weapons in these forums. Read up a bit.

I would recommend getting 1H swords and dual wielding them. There are a lot of good ones out there with good stats for a lvl 70

nice two hander with a decent speed for RS crits & beneficial for great ranged damage output as well as *shivers* melee damage for you infamous melee hunters out there. This is not a good weapon to interrupt spells but i'd rather crit a clothie's hat off then stab him for 2 minutes.

never talk about meleeing w/ a hunter ever again. look for stats, not damage. get the best stats you can, because the only meleeing you'll be doin, if you're a good hunter is wing clip. maybe counterattack if your survival. but dont worry about melee. learn to kite if you havent already, your bow or gun is your lord and savior. =) if you're goin for a good melee weapon, sonic spear all the way. unless your going pvp, then keep the sonic spear until you can get some baddical pvp stuff.
