I think the conditionals actually work on castsequence. Give it a try.
You're going to run into a bit of a problem, though, because you can't change your macro's target mid-castsequence. Your first spell can't go to your pet and your next to your hostile target.

I don't think conditionals can apply to components of a castsequence. If so, that's new to me.
