OP, both of the info you've heard are false because:
1. bm is
not
the only aoe lvling spec to go
2. you need volley to effectively aoe grind regardless of your spec
then how about you give an answer and opinion of your own after?
BM is the best spec to go for AoE leveling with a gorrilla simply becuase of the power it gives your pet to hold threat and to survive. Volley will be its job in the end but if you pet has 4 mobs on him and no increased abilities to survival, he will get pummel down.

something like that would do. beast mastery gives you 4 more points in order to make your gorilla stronger. his dodge chance should be very high.
