I have some thoughts on this rotation after watching the video.
I specced mutilate for my guild's 10-man naxx last night, the rotation was very difficult to keep up on trash and any encounter with a lot of movement. But on patchwerk this spec definately shined and showed me its potential. I kept my rotation up very well, and was able to sustain 2600 dps. The group consisted of a prot warrior, frost DK, Spriest, Hpriest, resto shammy, Healadin, Retadin, 2 muti rogues, and a hunter. And my buffs were might, kings, horn of winter, the shammy totems ( i forget which ones), a flask of endless rage (+180AP), and +30 hit food.
Just like in the video, energy must be pooled for HfB and Envenoms to ensure that SnD and HfB do not drop ever. And that rupture is reapplied after it drops and HfB and SnD are not in danger of dropping.
Also, I found that in a pinch, when I had no combo points and SnD was nearing its end (5sec or less), using a shiv followed by envenom allowed me to retain SnD. Ideally I did not want to end up in this situation, but I believe twice in the encounter i was there; is this the best way to not lose SnD?
Some of my thoughts on this rotation are:
This fight (patchwerk) was the first fight I felt comfortable using this rotation. There is enough going on in this rotation that having a boss that just stands still was a big relief and allowed me to relax a bit and focus more on all the timers and energy and get a feel for the complexity and execution of the rotation.
I find that in complex boss fights the act of moving causes me to lose focus on the cooldowns (I just use in game timers) and refresh or lose HfB, SnD, or rupture too early, or lose it completely. I think that as I become more comfortable with the rotation and the timing, moving around while preforming it would not be that difficult and dps like patchwerk could be seen on many more encounters.
I think that an addon that displays these timers clearly possibly with warning sounds would be extremely beneficial to keeping this rotation up, if anyone has any suggestions on which one to use I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
CK

Get Cutup. No warning sounds but you get nifty bars you can put in the middle of your screen that show the durations of slice, HfB, rupture and poisons.
