Love it but I think, like episodes 1 and 2 from last season, these two will be the only ones with a continuing storyline. (continuity?)

There were a few that revolved around the Grand Galloping Gala, like 3, 26, and one or two more. Such as in three, they get the tickets to the event, whilst they attend it in 26. Kinda makes sense that they would need to receive these tickets first, don't you think?
Yes but I think they headed out for it that night, or at least I got the impression they were.

Yeah I guess you're right. I just went back and watched the end of episode 3 when they all got the tickets and assumed they were headed out for the Gala. Turns out they were just headed out to feed Twilight Sparkle. In my defense, I never expected them to expand on it at the time, it was only episode 3 after all D:
