Ohrmuzd gazed upon the shore contemplatively, then heaved himself over the board.
"Hngh. Let them scurry," he declared. "Let them carry the word and open a bounty hunt on me. Just once they will be useful for something greater than blade greasing."
The berserker raised his arm, watching gashes and bruises covering it thin, lighten and fade.
"I am considering wearing armor," the albino grunted. "Of what I gather, too much is spent healing me. Hnnngh. It is not proper."

"The only question you need to concern yourself with is how not to end up on the wrong end of that weapon," the cryomancer snorted.
"I could not care less about your presence, I suppose, so long as you are not impeding me. But fair is fair and you should know not all of my... prospective companions, let's put it that way, are as tolerant and forgiving as me."

Ohrmuzd threw Faust a look that was only mostly one of irritation; a hint of pity could be seen by those who knew where to look.
"Hrrnnnngh. A fledgling, a weakling in dragonbone panoply is nothing but a laughingstock," he retorted. "And an entire city can shiver in fear from the mere sight of a man in holey underwear and a rubber duckling on his head after just one massacre."
The berserker rolled his neck with an audible crack of vertebrae rubbing against one another.
"I need armor that will protect me and not hinder my movements. Hnngh. That covers the unnecessary decorations. Color matters not either - soon it will be one of caked blood anyway."

Faust shrugged, letting the comment on attire roll over him and past. "Let's agree to disagree. Now then, I suppose I can find something. But in the meantime, we need to ensure you are properly engaged. That in mind, I have found a few who might present, if not a challenge, then at least ample opportunities for appropriate bloodshed.
"Unless," he added with a sideways glance at the albino, "you had a particular next stop in mind for your...ahem, works?"

Faust smiled indulgently. "Of course you are." He settled onto the keel of the boat, facing the albino. In a calm tone, as of one who was used to explaining options and didn't quite care which the recipient selected, as both led to where they wanted to go, he began:
"The first possibility is actually not to far away from here," he said, gesturing idly towards the open sea. "On a nearby isle, in fact. He is experimenting with monkeys, gorillas primarily if you must know, and goes by the name of Doctor Simon Baum. And by experimenting, I mean of course torturing and mutating them in some twisted attempt at science. I doubt he's even really sure just what he's doing any longer." Faust laughed chidingly, as though some particular aspect of this amused him. "His...his research has been gaining some interest of certain parties, and the sort of parties they throw are not the ones you walk home from! Gah-ha! Not...not with your original legs anyway! Gahaha!"
"Oh mercy...That being said," he continued after his mirth subsided, "I believe he will conform to your current moralizing murderous moniker, working on a place named skull island and all, the cliche alone more than warranting-"
Faust abruptly whipped his head around and glared into the waters. For the briefest of moments, a great shadow seemed to pass beneath the rolling blue waves, only to vanish as though only a trick of the eyes amongst the shimmer of the waters. Emerald eyes narrowed as Faust's mouth became a long, hard line.
After a moment when nothing else occurred, he turned back to the albino, his smile returning but the mood decidedly sobered. "The second option is on Pandaria, in a small fishing village near the Jade Forest. There is an exchange operation ongoing there, with some more radical pandarian elements joining in. I have done business with them at times, but with the lifting of the mists they have proven less than helpful. Their leader is not to be underestimated, doubly so as a certain worgen is sniffing about there. His name is Lao Don, and his rank amongst the exchange is well earned.
"They, however, you may wish to avoid for now. A far more subtle strength is employed by some of their more key operators, who are admittedly present. Of course, the final decision is up to you.
"I suggest you choose quickly," Faust said, slowly rising to his feet. Despite being shorter than Ohrmuzd, his very presence seemed to loom over him like the long shadow cast by ancient mountains. His eyes glittered like gems, boring into Ohrmuzd not with threat, but with a subtle urgency. "Events," he said in a low, warning tone, "may be moving faster than anticipated."

"Precisely," Maelle replied, as if the idea was nothing to her. In fact, her expression never glinted with surprise or acknowledgment, as if the time she had spent alone in the grove was enough to consider all the possibilities of their confrontation with the warlock and his allies.
Saelyn approached the kodo that the priestess was avoiding, quietly speaking under her breath to the creature. It had seemed apprehensive around the other woman, but calmed somewhat at the druid's attention. Maelle threw a glance at the scene and sighed, gesturing for the others follow her as she exited the city through an arch. There was a wide stretch of flourishing life around the Cenarion glade, but beyond that was wasteland. A small path stretched that far, and she followed it.
The blind elf nudged the kodo forward, "Go on," she said. The kodo rumbled, before making its way after Maelle, and Saelyn followed alongside the massive creature, one hand on its hide.

"There you go!" Holly exclaimed, while patting Silver forward. The gelding tossed his head and snorted, not amused by the development or the switch in rider. Regardless, Holly pushed him onwards and he started a steady gait in the direction they were heading, this time the young girl walking beside the horse.
There appeared to be a camp a ways in the distance, on a rise above the terraced land they were currently on.

Isaac's observations were more than right. The trolls were trying to cut the bridge, an effort that would sink both the elf and the half blood into the frenzy infested waters below--and the ravenous creatures now had a fierce taste for blood. Valor followed Isaac's lead, dashing in the opposite direction with swords slashing, ducking blows, in an attempt to make it to the trolls at the end of the bridge trying to cut the ropes while their fellows evacuated.
Unfortunately, the haste meant he couldn't put all his attention into blocking, and strips of red flew from Valor's form in streaking beads.
At the top of the temple stood a lanky troll flanked by two, much larger, bodyguards. The skinny jungle native was clad in gaudy, thin robes covered in beads, bones, feathers, and other such trinkets. His face was streaked by white paint and both his tusks were cracked. A mane of wild, yellow green hair flew in all directions, and his red eyes were crazed.
He screamed something at the sight of Zachary, but his bodyguards were already charging.

"Except dead men. Supposedly they don't tell tales," Jack mused, before her sharp eyes flicked to either side suspiciously. Kun-Lai Summit
"So that's the world famous hide out of the ninja bears?" Midnight asked, looking up at the Monastery on top of the mountain. "And we need to go there, because the Prince asked us to?" She shook her head.
"Let's get going." Koran said, and started up the path. Kiran took a few sniffs of the air, then followed along, watching the path on both sides; the last travelers they had seen had warned of issues with the pathway recently.

Xander had the feeling suddenly that the two of them weren't alone. Glancing outwards, he spotted another, far different, camp in the distance. The tents were far more neatly made, the entire place looking planed to the last detail.

Character
: Valor, Victoria Hawthorne
Location

Victoria still had a free hand for a gun, and her pistol shot the second troll bodyguard in the calf so that he tripped and stumbled alongside his companion. Both of them shouted curses in their native tongue as they stormed after Zachary, while Tori slipped past them towards the more obvious leader.
It was well known that Victoria was anything but subtle, a word that could not be used to describe how she tackled the lanky troll to the ground with the full force of her body and slammed his head down into the stone. It wasn't hard enough to knock him out (she didn't have quite the body strength for that) but was enough to daze him as she unwrapped the object she was holding while pinning him to the ground.
What she held was an ornate mirror, but that was not elaborate enough to describe the treasure she held. The glass seemed to gleam even when no light hit it, a pool of hidden depths behind a reflected surface. It was surrounded by intricate metalworking in silver and gold, with blue gems of various hues wrapped into the filigree. There were small designs of leaves and flowers, animals, and arcane runes. Victoria held it up by two slim handles built into the designs on either side of the mirror proper.

"Yeah, I'm not lying. But thanks for the benefit of the doubt." Hexic replied before spinning round and making for the Forlorn Cavern.

"Subtlety. Hnnngh," Ohrmuzd grunted contemplatively. He bared his teeth in a bloodthirsty grin that had defiance of everything the other stood for - whatever it was, which mattered little - written all over it.
"Subtlety requires tranquility, but time for that has not come. Not yet," the berserker added somewhat vaguely, watching the crimson blade glint under the midday sun for several seconds, then ramming the weapon into the sheath. He leaned back against the wood of the hull, letting his forearms dangle overboard and the tips of his fingers touch the surface of the sea.
"Skull Island, was it? I just might have the presence of mind to make the toponym, hnnnngh, literal."

: Azazel Ashwood

Even as he slashed his way forward, time seemed to slow down for Azazel. He felt as if he was moving painfully slowly, barely making any progress at all. The half-blood was balancing on a metaphorical tightrope, and did not, could not know for certain if he were to reach the end safely. He readily assumed the worst about his opponents, believing them ready to let their own brothers in arms feed the frenzies if it meant killing him and Valor.
For a brief moment the boy closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, and when he opened them again, he was almost at peace. He would give all he had to give, as always. The race to escape the ramshackle bridge had started, and it would end when it ended. He would make it, or he would not. Only one truth remained now, only one simple knowing flashed in his mind.
Kill or be killed.
Azazel allowed himself a small smile. This was positively exhilarating.
The scion of Ahriman clawed and raked, he tore and kicked, and once he even bit into a pointy ear to prevent its bearer from escaping. He was far from unscathed, and even though none of the wounds he had sustained were serious, they were numerous. But, then again, that was just the price he had to pay, and he had known it well enough before getting thrown into the chaos of melee.
Kill or be killed, and may the blood flow freely. That is all there is to it.

Character:

Location:

The massive winged figure settled onto his four legs and fingered the spear lashed to his side. His tusks swiveled with his head as he turned towards a flash of light. To a mortal, it would have seemed that the immense figure stood on an invisible ground. The room seemed a sphere of the Great Dark no floor, roof or walls. Stars, planets and galaxies floating in a black void. But the figure was just a black silhouette, no matter what light the stars cast.
The flash of light, which caused him to turn, was a portal opening. A much smaller figure, perhaps the size of a tall human, stepped through, letting the portal close with another flash. He too appeared to stand on nothing and was a black silhouette, although the figure may have changed his shape for this meeting. The figure spoke first, "I hope you are well?"
"Well enough," he growled at the lesser being, "How does it go?"
"Well enough," said the figure. The winged being snarled, he was sure the little figure was smiling.
"What is the status for your mission?" he snapped, "How is she?"
"She is dead," replied the figure, "Or as good as. She is no longer of any consequence. "
"No consequence?" he roared at the little one, "Everything hung upon her!"
"No," the figure replied, "There is another. I will do it with him. And all is well. Until our next meeting." With that the figure opened the portal and stepped through it calling, "Bye bye, Anhi!" the portal closed with another flash.
Aghast, Anhi stared at the spot where the other had departed. How had he figured out his name? This was most troubling and had better be worth his time. Snorting, Anhi rose into the sky on black wings.
