Need Pet Control Macro Help!

I'm finding that my Hunter is being used in grouping lately for pet tanking, so I need some new macros and I haven't the faintest idea how to write them.
Is it possible to set up a macro that puts my pet on Defensive as soon as I cast Thunderstomp?
Can a macro be done for a Serpent Sting pull shot that puts my pet on Passive as soon as the shot is fired so as to prevent the Defensive-stance pet auto-attack 'feature'?
My experiences with using a Gorilla tank pet indicate that I'm constantly switching between Passive and Defensive stances - Passive so he doesn't charge in when I pull, and Defensive so he keeps selecting new targets while Thunderstomping.
Things get a bit messy when I screw up the stances so anything to make it a bit more streamlined is what I'm looking for, if others have better ideas.
