Assuming you mean 10 man? On 25 our skeleton tank realized that his piercing howl was too much slow as they would get hit by fire too much.

6 adds. Group them up.
Frost Nova - 8s (25s cd) - can utlitise at least twice, so dont be afraid to pop it on 3 adds
Dragon Breath 5s (20s cd, 17 glyphed) - can utilise twice or even 3 times,
Ring of Frost 10s (2 min cd) - one time trick, make it count, make sure no add has Ignite on it
Cone of Cold 8s (10s cd) - easy to apply aoe slow 60%, try not to get hit while doing so.
Blast Wave 3s (15s cd) - easy to apply aoe slow, ranged.
Blink if you need to. Impact when its up. Use Mirror Images offensively (once you got agro they will steal it from you).
With a little help of your friends you can make the 50s, without getting hit too much.
Since only two of these abilities are fire it can be done by any mage, just need more help. Imo Fire has better control than Frost. Frost has one Aoe Nova from pet, Fire has Dragon Breath disorient and blast wave. That is unless you go full pvp oriented frost with Imp cone of cold, shattered barrier and Permafrost.
Adds (undead) can be cced for full duration (50s) with:
root in place (any druid),
freezing
trapped (hunter)
feared (paladin, lock, shadow priest)
shackled (any priest)
They seem very resilient to taunt mechanics (distracting shot doesnt seem to work).
