December is going to be a busy month, no doubt, and here's some fresh new features straight from the Wowhead kitchen!Forum posts and topics will now show in user profiles!
There are now two new tabs on the user profile page - one named Topics
which (obviously) displays all topics created by that user (Example
) and another named Replies
which displays the 250 most recent replies posted by that user (Example
). You can navigate to your posts by clicking on any column within the table, or navigate to the board it was posted within by following the links below the topic name. Also, mousing over the time in the 'Posted' column displays the exact time/date of your post. You can now use Wowhead to generate in-game item and recipe links!
At the top right corner of all Wowhead item and tradeskill recipe pages there is now a 'Get in-game item link' option, which will open a pop-up dialog box with an in-game script command. All you have to do is copy and paste this command into your chat window, and it will generate a message giving you a normal, in-game item
link for which you can view the tooltip, link into channels, dressing room, etc. This is a great way to link any item in the database without having to use an intensive in-game addon, and can be very useful in creating tradeskill macros or simply seeing how awesome you look wearing a Dark Edge of Insanity
.We've added extended category filters to the site!
This will allow you to create a search that returns items from multiple different subcategories at once. For example, you can do a search that return leather and mail items but not plate or cloth, or show potions and flasks but not scrolls, or even axes and swords but not maces. Try it out
!2.3 PVP item changes have been made throughout the site!
With the start of Arena Season 3, all Season 1 Gladiator's
items have been made available for purchase from vendors. All items have been adjusted to reflect this change, and now display the appropriate honor and battleground mark costs. Also, Season 2 Merciless Gladiator's
items have had their arena point costs reduced accordingly. Season 3 also introduced the new "Personal arena rating" requirement, which is reflected now in item tooltips and these items can be filtered using the new "Requires a personal arena rating
