spec? shadow for leveling
professions? tailoring/enchanting is common, you can replace enchanting with a gathering profession for extra money
weapons? caster weapons, whether its a staff or a 1H + offhand. i personally prefer staves as they usually have higher +spr
other notes: stack as much +spirit as you can find for leveling. spirit tap is win.
