New to mages - Frost or Arcane?

I have never had a mage before, but I'm leveling up one because they look so awesome! :P I'm pretty sure I wanna be frost, arcane, or some combination of the two. I want a build that is fun, so even though I heard frost is lacking a bit on the DPS charts, it seems to me that frost looks fun. I would use this build for level 80 PvE mostly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you very much! :)

Frost has high survivability until you reach about 60+. After 60, Arcane has better survival. As an arcane mage myself, I only have the best to say about it. Unmatched burst damage (due to spell modifiers, Presence of Mind, Arcane Power etc). Arcane has Instant-Cast Invisibility (meaning every 2 minutes you can pop out of any battle you dont like...Also, we mages have Slow. Instant cast crippler for just about any class. I love arcane. Passionately.

Ok so it sounds like frost for leveling is the best option, but what about when I hit level 80? Will arcane be superior, or is frost fun and effective? I'm hoping that someone with experience as a frost or arcane mage can tell me how good it is and whether it is fun or not. Even if you do not have experience I would love any tips on anything. I have an idea for
frost
and for
arcane
builds. If the builds are completely wrong or even if one talent point should be better somewhere else, please let me know for I am still fairly new to mages. Thank you! :P

Depends on your Realm.
Frost is highly surviveable, while Arcane grants a sligthy higher damage output.
I would choose Frost without a doubt, but I play on a PvP realm as well.

Arcane burns through mana way, WAY faster than Frost does. Then again, Arcane does have a lot of ways to get
mana
back
. Plus, higher
mana pool
helps as well, and a
free spell
one in every 10 spells is nice (Though I always take that whenever i'm Frost too...).
Frost is 100% the way to go until you can get barrage. After that it's pretty much preference, you're a lot more single-target than Frost as Arcane, but at times you'll end up burning through the single targets so fast you may as well be AoEing. (Yes, that may be an exaggeration...)
I prefer Arcane. Loved it at 70 as 40/0/21, and post-patch 70 as 56/5/0. For end-game at the moment, Frostfire is the way to go. But they're supposed to fix Arcane, so... here's hoping.
