Same faction? The only time you can mail cross-faction is when it's just an heirloom, no text or gold, and that to only the other characters on your account.

What do you mean by this?
If my shaman is on Kael'thas and my paladin is on Kael'thas, both Alliance, I can send my paladin anything that's not soulbound to my shaman.
If I took those same two characters, but did a faction transfer on my paladin, then I can only send my paladin heirloom items.
If I had transferred my paladin to Alleria instead of transforming him into a blood elf, I can't send him anything.
That make sense?
