Which stats they are interested in depend on which role the other players are hoping for you to fill. Rather than try to sound like you know what's going on why don't you talk to the people trying to invite you to play with them. Sounding like you know what you are doing and then being totally confused seems more likely to disappoint or irritate them than warning them that you are new and asking them to offer some guidance. If the other players are not willing to help guide you through playing as part of a party then I doubt you would have much fun with them if they discovered that you are unfamiliar with that part of the game after you get into the instance.

AP and crit are big ones for Arms warriors, they may also want your DPS as well (recount is good for this), if you are at he hit cap also is a good one.
