Northrend Leveling = Boring

Seriously. I've been in Northrend since level 68 (74 now), and it's been a few levels since I've gotten any new abilities that are worth a damn. I can see Misdirection on the horizon at 76, but the last real shiny was Aspect of the Pack at 56 (which isn't even all that great for solo PvE leveling). When one considers that Outland leveling feels at least twice as fast as Northrend leveling, ick. I'm quickly losing my zeal to level my hunter much further, and that's a shame since I've had a blast up until now.
What can be done to improve the experience? Please Wowhead, help me bring back my hunter passion.

Now that most of the classic zones have been remade into awesoe questing experiences I guess leveling in Outland and Northrend with their boring fetch quests is kind of disappointing.

I dunno. I actually like some of the Northrend quests.
Shocking, right?

Thanks Hexane. I'm 78 now and just finished clearing out Sholozar Basin. I've moved on to Icecrown but haven't started it yet. I figure since I hit 80 on my mage and paladin in Storm Peaks, I'll experience some new questing that I haven't done yet in Icecrown.
I'm still MM, just like I have been since level 10. I haven't even tried SV yet. Stubborn I guess. And yes, epic flying all over the place.
Now that I've hit 78 and I'm looking at some fresh questing, I'm feeling a bit better about finishing the run to 80. It certainly doesn't take away the boredom I've already experienced, but at least it's in the past (until I decide between Warlock, Druid, Priest, or Shaman for my next alt).

IMO, the quests in Northrend are much more exciting then in Outland, but I leveled faster in Outland than in Northrend...
So far I'm on level 72, already done most parts of Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord, Next step is to finish the instances in these two locations and go to Dragonblight.
That nerf in the XP needed in Northrend aparentely isn't working for me...
As for the hunter feats in 60~80 levels just look at the

How is the story line now carried in Northrend? Meaning, so many of the quests mention "Now that the Lich King is dead...", do they still consider the original Lich King to still be around when you get to Northrend? To people just playing the game for the first time, it must be confusing for them.
It is like cataclism never happen over there. Except for the portals in Dalaran that where swiched for trainers and the monument in the center of Dalaran that show the final cinematics from the WoLK.

I leveled in Outland right before Cataclysm hit and that was quite boring (if somewhat fast). Old Azeroth used to feel tired and outdated, but now Outland feels that way. Northrend isn't quite as bad, as they did improve quests somewhat, and the scenery is still very pretty but I agree it's slow going. I guess the new content in Azeroth will loose its bloom once you have gone through it a couple of times too.
I wonder if they will leave Outland the way it is or revamp it. I imagine that for new players, it must be quite the shock to go from all the shiny new stuff and land in boring old Outland.
