Wither did what damage he could to the firebat, then burrowed, having taken terrible, terrible damage himself. He needed to rest, regenerate, but then he would emerge and slay them

Rage stayed quiet. If he followed the terrans maybe he could learn something useful.

He was second in command to the Captain that was piloting the Raider's vessel, and now second in command to recently-promoted Ghost Eva Barker.

Axel rubbed the back of his head and adjusted his turtleneck awkwardly as he fumbled with the controls inside the Orbital Command Center, which was almost online. The Operations Room was nearly empty, save for himself and a few other persons who could correctly manage the equipment.

It occured to Greg all of a sudden that, given the fact that he was wounded by a canister rifle, their enemy ranks included an infected ghost, whose ability to cloak might very well not have been infected at all. That said, the spectre adjusted his sound-catchers to the limit, hoping that he would be able to hear an incoming shot.

Axel tapped his finger on a button to the communications system now wired through the base. He had already asked for status reports on the sensor equipment in the past hour, knowing that they were near finished, but impatience was drilling into him. He slumped forward onto one section of the control console, but was snapped out of his daze by a crackle of static from the comlink.
"
Sensor tower is up and ready, Harvard.
"
Axel breathed a sigh of relief, and switched the channel to the rest of his crew in the Operation Room, "All right boys and girls, let's get the sensors online. Time to figure out who else lives on this joint."

Wither looked on, pleased with himself, as the newborn hatchery burst from it cocoon and rose through the ship into the sky. Already it was beganing to produce larva, and with a little coaxing from the queen one of the zerglings had released it would be even more effective in colonizing this world.

Rage could have shot them right there, could have killed them all. But he didn't. Why? Because then he would be killed, having only taken a few of them with him. He was cloak right now, hidden from even the sensor tower, but he couldn't stay like such forever.
So what should he do? He had no way to spread the zerg infestation to this location personally, but he could, and he would, keep watch for as long as he could, learn what he could, and leave to use it against the terran. A smile creapt across his infested face.

"Our captain, along with Clarence's squad, are right now retreating from the crashed Dominion ship full of zerg, and she sent me forward to report." - Greg's voice left no options considering his attitued to the order. - "I really think they could use an evac - and me too, come to think of it."

Axel's muffled cursing was barely heard as he turned his head away from the comlink, but then turned back to it and responded, "On it. We managed to dig up one surviving medivac from the wreckage, we'll send it your way. Signal your position and we'll get a pilot to pick you up, then find Barker."

"Already done, Harvard." - said Mandrake, then thought for a second and added - "I'm worrying too, Axel. If it helps, we made it out of there without too much effort - not that it should be a reason to delay the evac, of course."

"And still as cocky as always I see, Lieutenant." Axel barely suppressed a snicker. "Keep your pants on, evac's on its way."
He terminated the link and set a message to the barracks to signal one of their pilots to get to the medivac.

A medivac?... Yes... yes, of course. How had he not been able to think of it before?
The still-cloaked Rage turned and headed for what he best could figure to be the medical station, the plan formulating in his mind becoming clearer and clearer as he got closer to his goal.

A command to the larava got them mutating, new drones would soon be ready, and those that were already alive began salvaging the scrap of the crash to fuel the genetic machine of the zerg hive. It would take a while longer then if raw minerals were at their disposal, but it was better then nothing.
Creep was beganing for form on every surface possible, its roots extending down deep into the soil to draw nutrients from it, nutrients the creep would use to began releasing zerg spores into the air.

'About time to kick back and relax, but wait! Where's my armchair, my fireplace, my scotch and Eva?
Ah, I almost forgot that I am in a middle of a jungle on some god-forsaken planet, and Eva is right behind me, fighting with the zerg. Damn, having a good memory hurts sometimes.
Still, Eva owes me a scotch each time she gives me such an order.
H-m-m, if I let the
Spokesman
- I love my rifle so much I even break the habit of NOT thinking in italics for it - chit-chat with the clouds, the medivac will have no trouble finding me. On the other hand, that bastard probably will notice me, too. A dilemma - yes, I know some smart words! When our glorious commander jumps to one part of the sector to save some colonists, and then completely to the other to snatch some artifacts, even lil' Egon is worth speaking to.

From the barracks left ace-pilot, and once medic, Nora Sanchez toward the medbay, where the medivac was parked nearby, in an area clear enough for liftoff. She slipped into the cockpit and strapped herself in, preparing to go on that evac mission.

Rage slipped into the medstation of the terran's camp. Rage, sneaked over to one of the liquid containers, grinning from ear to ear. He looked around, making sure no one was watching before heading for the consol, disabling the ability of the machine to detect the pressence of zerg microbes.
He then accessed the medical supplies and cut himself. He let a small ammount of his own infested blood drip into the supplies,contaminating them. The miniscule ammount used would suffice to infest anyone exposed to the supplies, but it would be highly, highly difficult to detect, esspecially with the computer consol's ability to do so disabled. He sealed the supply container and then began his escape, leaving the medbay and heading back towards the Dominion wreck.

"Lifting off," Nora said into the com.
"You're free to go," Axel said in response, giving the pilot a little salute from his position in the Command Center, even though she couldn't see him. Nora flew the medivac in the direction of Greg's biosignature, displayed with a little bleeping dot on her radar.

The medivac slowly landed nearby where Greg was, smashing a few trees on the way down. Nora waved over the Spectre, who, after a witty (and snarky) comment, slipped inside. They were in the air again moments later, and Greg directed the pilot to where the crashed Dominion ship was.
"Holy---" Nora started. "Harvard, get a load of the signatures over here... Zerg are crawling everywhere."
Axel's voice crackled over the comlink, "
That... is... Well turns out this is going to be a load of fun.
