"Hey, what the hell do you think you are doing?" - roared Greg, addressing three blue-skinned creatures that looked like they were going to tinker with the spectre's Vulture. Greg noticed the hooves, the tails and the tentacles and thought - 'Great, I don't know whether to laugh or to throw a tantrum. Just when we need to find those draenei, we find them nowhere but where I left my bike! If I believed in multiple deities, I'd say that the local Fate has a twisted sense of humour.'

"Erm, look, we just..." - muttered one of them embarassedly. The fact that he was almost two times bigger than Greg didn't help, probably on account of Greg being the one with No Indoor Voice (when he wanted, at least) and a Big Damn Scythe. The spectre sighed and said - "Look, I'm sure this is a misunderstanding and you three meant no harm at all." - to which all three hastily and guiltily nodded. - "I am Gregory Mandrake, and you are dreanei, right?"

"Now you're gonna tell me that your ship is functional thanks to, I don't know, some crystals with, say, arcane energy inside them?" - asked Gregory sarcastically. Terrans used gas, protoss used gas, even the goddamn zerg used goddamn gas.
Nerivaan raised his eyebrow - "How did you know? I had an impression that you've never heard of magic..."

"Perhaps a little demonstration will help... Lenassa, form an ice shield!"
Greg prised himself on managing not to drop his jaw when a hovering shield made of ice appeared out of nowhere in front of a female draenei, after the afore-mentioned draenei muttered something inpronounceable and made a strange gesture. Afterwards, Nerivaan raised his hands and barked out a single word - and a ball of fire...
'Okay, genre savviness on, I think they call it a fireball.'
...erupted from his palm and smashed into the shield, two spells annihilating each other. Gregory carefully picked up an ice shard from the ground and examined it thoroughly.
'It's so cold I can feel it
through...
cut it! through the HES.'

"I don't believe I'm actually asking that, but, now that we know you're magi, is there any chance you could open a - whaddaya call it - portal to your crash-site so that we could talk with your commander?"
Three draenei looked at each other, then stepped forward the one who had been silent so far.
"Can be opened a portal, yes. Whether the great prophet will you see, that's a question." - the voice of Galpaxos was so low, deep and menacing that Greg could not help but think - 'Dude, I came to this planet, I claimed all the over-acting for myself.'
Galpaxos made a gestue as if he was ripping something apart and a portal appeared - Greg could not describe it, it just was.
"Hand of Argus warriors will you meet. Speaks through them great prophet. Tell you if he sees you they will."
'Deja vu... I swear there's something familiar about that Galpaxos guy. Now, are we taking the portal, da... darn it?'

I suppose we will, or at least, you will. I'm going to contact Harvard first, make sure he doesn't flip out when we don't come back for a few years,
" Eva thought dryly, before turning away from the draenei and turning on her comlink. "Yo, Harvard."

" Axel's voice barked over the com. "
s a mad house down here! Our medical supplies were infected, we've lost a man, and you and Mandrake are off gallivanting!
"
"All right, all right, Harvard. I know its fishy, but we've made a truce with the leader of the local powerhouse. He's sending out a regiment to help us, can probably help with the land and local threats. Me and Mandrake are going to see if we can find a replacement for vespene gas. Just don't get your shorts in a knot while we're gone a bit longer, got it?"
Yet Eva didn't give him a chance to respond, as she turned off the com.
