Numpad and modifier key help

After much research (googling, asking techies, etc.), i can't find a solution to this problem, and this seems like the best place to ask, so here it goes.
I've been using Razer's Naga gaming mouse, and recently had the idea to set it up to use the numpad binding set so i can use the number keys for additional binds. I have it set up so i have 3 action bars, one is bound to the 1-= buttons on my keyboard, then 2 more that are the same buttons, but under shift and ctrl modifiers. For example, pressing 1 casts bar1btn1, and pressing shift+1 casts bar2btn1.
So here comes the problem: binding an action bar to the number pad is fine, but as some people will tell you, macros don't work because pressing shift overrides the NumLock and makes the numpad function as the editing keys (e.g., shift+1=End, shift+2=down arrow, shift+0=insert).
What I'm asking for is a way to make it so hitting the modifier keys does not override numlock and use the aforementioned editing keys.
Any help would be much appreciated, but if you're going to say it can't be done then please explain why it cant be done.

Actually, I used to play using wasd for movement and the numpad for spell keybinds (using channeled spells/shoot for spot turns HA). I guess what I'm really asking is if there is any way to make it so i can use shift/ctrl/alt modifiers on the numberpad without binding the edit keys.

That sounds like a hardware thing. You would probably need a keyboard that allowed you to override that shift-overriding-num-lock behavior.

It's a simple keyboard layout.
Every keyboard have the shift modifier for the numpad as standard modifier to activate the secondary functions (arrows and so on).
If your keyboard supports it, and has a decent configuration software, you should be able to disable this thing (which is on by default), otherwise you cannot use shift as a modifier for numpad buttons.
