When comparing Wrath vs Starfire please note that SF takes twice as long to cast then W. So in the same time period you cast SF you can cast 2 W.
1 SF = 2% mana
2 W = 1.7 * 2 = 3.4% mana
And also note that you CANNOT ever cast a spell faster then once every 1 second as this is the lowest the GCD goes. Since as a boomkin Haste is a very important stat and Nature's Grace will cause you to drop below the GCD every time you crit with Wrath, you will only want to use it to proc SF then go with straight SF spam till you need to refresh DoTs and proc eclipse again.

so wait a minute... Since as a boomkin Haste is a very important stat
so your saying blizzard didnt make us a unique class pretty much?
we are just supposed to be like a mage and stack haste to spam our sf?

are you sure about that one cuz ive got my cast bar up and it says '0.6' on my castings for wrath after i crit
i dont think GCD cares about ur '0.6' casting time:) oh and btw its global cool down if u know what that means:)
