ok old nurture
100 % of agi into +heals...
ie 1000 agi = 1000+heals
now...
70% of agi = +spellpower
or 1000 agi = 700+spellpower
nerf? i think not
as 1 +spellpower is equiv to 2 + heals...
or if you convert the spellpower back into +heals 700 spellpower = 1400+ heals... so with the healing>spellpower conversion you now do Stronger heals than you would have without... possibly the nerf from 100% agi to 70% agi was to compensate for the extra strength of spellpower *shrug*
*edited to change the numbers to easier to calc ones*

Keep in mind the secondary bonus to of Nurturing Instincts is applied to the LotP heals on yourself :P Not enough to champion the cause but nifty enough to mention.

sorry i''m just a bit confused with what you're arguing. You're a feral druid who wants to be an effective healer by picking up one talent? If you want effective heals, then spec resto. you can't be both an effective dps (melee on top of that) and an effective healer.

He's talking about PvP and doing effective emergency heals as well as having sufficient mana to get his job done due to the extreme amount of form changing required of feral druids in PvP.

Nurturing Instincts was useless before the spellpower changes, now it´s remotely useful yet it just doesn´t quite cut it..
And it´s not exactly +spellpower per se.. it still only affects the heals. Even Tier 7 druids are hardly up to 1000 agi, close to be sure. But not quite there yet. Most of us are running around with 700 to 800 agi so our healing spellpower ranges from 490 to 560. that´s three times lower than our healing counterparts. Though I´m pretty sure some numbercrunching retrobate out there would tell me that the scale is calculated by other means than my overly simple sessamy street mathematical style.
The other little loved yet often mentioned hybrid class the Retribution Paladin has 30%ap to true spellpower and they are closing in on the 3000ap barrier unbuffed so they have 1000 spellpower easy. Most Holy Paladins are pushing 1600 sp if well geared. In comparison Nurturing Instincts is a kick in the nuts. So I for the good of the whole am going to the Blizz pot with my cracked bowl, and like Oliver Twist before me, I simply beg "can I please have some more?"
P.S. Thank you for your corrections, input and thoughts fellow Druids.
ed. spelling
560 spell power from this talent, plus about 600 from your healing weapon if you get a good one, = 1100ish spell power when you need it.
The comparison the ret pallys is still interesting, but Nurturing Instinct is a very strong talent for PvP.
Plus, the 20% more healing done to cat part alone... honestly, do you guys never PvP with healers?
