No, EU game cards do not work on US servers. Neither would a bank account work as the US account management doesn't even accept bank accounts. Only PayPal and credit cards are possible, and the credit cards need to be issued in the United States. Back when the game was new, they accepted German credit cards with address information set to Australia, but no more.
Seriously though, why would you play on US servers? I have an US account myself, but that's because I got it the day the game was released in 2004 - but in the end, he time difference between Germany and US made it impossible to enjoy the endgame since when it's 18:00 in US, it's deep in the night here.
Can only suggest getting an EU account and paying with Gamecards if you are underage. If you only play for 4-5 weeks you won't lose that much.
