This whole thing seems soo pointless you would think the leaders of the citys would at least do somthing but stand there looking like %^&s who enjoy /love(ing) the lich king
Soo pointless they may as well make a Mob Called chuck norris with a gun
and make him get beamed down from the necropolis(es) just after beening cloned

Well, if you're fighting the Lich King, it makes sense that he's not just sitting in an instance waiting, this adds to the game's flavor, get over it.
It just adds to the "I have to sit this one out", for me. It's not flavor. It can't be flavor unless Arthas is a teenager whose goal in life is to teabag his enemies.
The flavor, which I think would be a great idea, is completely swamped by the griefing.

Actually this going on alongside the Hallow's End quests is getting kind of annoying. Way too many people are infecting the players and NPCs in areas like Goldshire and it is making completing the low level quests and the Hallow's End daily quests nearly impossible.

I just got a new buff called "Essence of Wintergrasp" , "Experience gain increased by 5%. Allows the collection of Stone Keepers's Shards".

As all good leaders, they are much more valuable then ordinary people, so they enter battle only when there is no other way.

My holy paladin along with about 5 other paladins and some priests and hunters spent over 45 minutes attempting to contain the plague in Goldshire so people could actually do the headless horseman quest... we managed to give a 15 minute window before it all collapsed into anarchy.
Stormwind is now unusable on my server. Goldshire is now unusable on my server. Ironforge near the AH and bank are in total disarray. The ground in all major capitals is cluttered with corpses. 90% of trade talk is consumed by angry players who are unable to get anything done at all in any of the major capitals.
My neighborhood was hit by a Tornado last summer. When you walk into stormwind and out into Elwynn forest it has the exact same feeling. Real or not...we who have spent years playing this game have found this to be familiar territory. Its a game that involves deep involvement and long term commitment. I'm not talking about just the fanatic gamer who is 40 and still lives in his mother's basement, but any of us who are "casual" players (i.e., we don't believe WoW is life and that life revolves around WoW) are greatly unsettled.
Honestly, I do not like the feeling I get when I log into WoW. I know Blizzard was going for this effect, but I don't think they honestly realized the psychological impact it has on its players. There is no plague. There is no Arthas. There is no Scourge. There is a gaming company called Blizzard and its taken this way, way too far.
Its now to the point where even a coordinated effort is powerless. There is absolutely no way to continue on our daily "business". Which is to play a game...when a game becomes so disrupted and so contorted that you simply stand around or don't stand around something is wrong.
Again, GG Blizzard for a public relations nightmare.

On my server:
Thunder Bluff completely overrun. Undercity is almost taken, even Silvermoon's out. Org, last I checked, is still fighting but close to being completely taken by Scourge. All the Alliance cities are in shambles. Even Shattrath--the "sanctuary"--is littered with bodies.

Altar of Storms is a bit of chaotic mess, BB was over run for a while with the time limited to 1 minute most guards are infected and remain uncleased until their incubation time is complete and they turn on their friends and allies.
Ironforge seems taken over to a bit, but I can't vouch as I stick manly in SW for now, Shatt was over ran and we ended up getting a bizarre elite taking out the cathedral in SW (taking him down gives one a quest to hand in, thus far haven't handed in)
Exodar and Darnassus are pretty much safe on my server as no one really bothers over there, which is where most go.
Trade chat is filled with people complaining and people telling those people to shut up and log off for a few days.
Also rumors flying about it will end when we get 150 victories (I don't see this as true as no one has stated it on the forms to my knowledge and no blue has posted it)
My server has won 35 victory's to date. We have a swarm of plagued rats that run through the streets in packs.
It's painful my little lvl 12 pally tried cleansing, but ended up corpse running 5-6 times >< and got the error message "nothing to dispell"not sure if that had to do with my low lvl or not.
My 70 has spent most of the day fighting off the swarms of undead that have come to call SW their home and have fallen 3 times thus far due to wandering to far from a healer >< taken some dura damage too :( *tears*
Over all I'm loving this event, even though I've corpsed walked more during this event than probably my entire WOW life. Though I do take breaks as to not wear myself out it's chaotic out there, and we have a few people that love to take out the bankers and stuff just to cause annoyance to those trying to conduct what little business.

Ok,
I've been as calm as I possibly can about this, but I'm doing my damnedest to speed level a feral druid right now (level 27 atm) and its getting harder and harder every god damned day!
All I want to do is enjoy my grinding, have some fun in an instance, but most of all, not worry where and when I afk.
other than that, I'v been having a great time beating back the zombies on my main and higher level alts

Phase 6 has started - a Scarlet Crusade(?) priest called Bishop Lazari and Grand Apothecary Putress have appeared in Shattrath with respective entourages, offering quests for each race to deliver a Dual-plagued brain to your racial capital.
Yes, THAT Grand Apothecary Putress.
