What is your preferred pet type and why?
I had a cat for a while and was happy with it but wanted to see what else there was, I now have a Scorpid but feel like a different pet would be better, his Scorpid Poison just doesn't seem that great. I was looking at Wind Serpents but people say after WotLK they aren't as good as before.
I want your opinions. I am a level 21, so that somewhat limits my pet options.
So what is your preferred pet and why?
Edit: Looks are cool, but I prefer functionality.

ok, i used a mazzranche for soloing for the longest time. Why? because i love my flamingo. For pure numbers, gorilla solo, cat group is the best way to go. But for leveling, i say get whats most appealing to you, as youre gonna be together for a long while.

Are you sure that Cat is the top DPS?
I did 10 man Naxx today and was being top DPS with a Scorpid as pet. The second on DPS was a hunter with pretty much the same spec as me and a Cat... but he out gears me, by a lot (800 more AP, 2% more crit).
Pet vs Pet, Scorpid beat the Cat by 150 dps.
We did not have any dot specific buffs (such as Mangle).
You could say it was the player, but, as far as I could see, he was always using double BW and BW on every cooldown (he was doing it faster than me, so he should have the glyph). And I don't think a player can mess that much to even lower the pet dps.
