What kind of #s should I be looking for as a raiding resto shaman?
Link to armory
I've been checking out be.imba.hu for what gear to replace and where I might do well, wow-heroes.com for my enchants, and Wowhead's stat weights for resto shamans to get an idea what items are an upgrade.
PS: I know I need to replace my cloak's enchant, and I have a second one sitting in my bags that I've been planning on getting enchanted.
Fairly good crit, not a bad starting heal rating. You should be stacking up some more Haste. Doesn't look too bad overall. Anything to bump haste and healing and your mp5 should be what you're after.
well i know i asked alot of questions when i started healing, and from what i can see you need ALOT more mp5 and haste, crit is nice, but take mp5 over crit, gem for int, and haste wwherever you can get it, but mp5 is a must, spell power usally is on most gear with mp5 etc. hope that helps )
Okay, how much haste and MP5, then?
as much as you can get? havent found a solid number myself, i know iwth water shield on im at 306mp5 (while casting) and im at 300 haste, from raiding point of view, being theres alot of moveing around, i want more haste now, mana realy isnt an issue now, but being able to heal faster is a must, even in heroics need faster heals ) can look at my armory to see where im at, still gearing up
That's a pretty good setup you have there Syrik. Aside from the cloak, that's a good guideline for pre-raid resto gear. One question, does that totem still hold up even though it's still Kara gear? Either of these ones should be a better and fairly easy to obtain upgrade:
for 15 Badges
for 30 Venture Coins
I would say the one that drops from Naxx is better but, I don't know of many, even MT healers, who use HW enough to make it worth it. Though I find it funny the lvl 74 one is a better deal than the 80 version. 3 dailies and its yours.

which is better more burst heals or keeping a larger amount of mana available for burst raid damage.
It really depends on the fight. The Venture Bay totem costs a single day of dailies so there's really no reason not to have both and swap them as needed.
Good point Ghost, I suppose its a matter of personal preference in this regard. A resto shaman should have a fairly good mp5 as it is, so mana should not be *that* big of an issue. So its a tossup on further mana conservation or having bigger chain heals. If I'm a MT healer, I go for conservation. If I'm a group healer I go for the bigger heals. But that's just me.
