I would drop engineering and get any combo of the 3 gathering professions. The heal from herbalism is a nice life saver, the extra crit through Skinning or the extra health from Mining is nice to make up for whatever you lack, damage or survivability.
Get
Lucky fishing hat
instead. I would recommend the
boots
too, as they can have Burning Crusade enchants on.
Granted these take alot of time to get, but well worth it in the end.
