two gathering skills will always net the most hassle free money. Any proffesion can theoreticaly make money (especialy JC) however it can be a pain if you new to selling.
what ive done well over the last few weeks is have a few characters all with max professions and im making things deathknights need for tanking. Its sold steadily and surprisingly well. The cloak of tormented skies from leatherworking and the basic cobalt set from blacksmithing both garner at least double profit from buying mats on the ah. Jewel crafting can be steady cash as well just sell stuff people want but arent well represented on the ah.
The only difficulty with JC is that there is a ton of initial investment in the form of rep and dailys to be done whereas leatherworking and blacksmithing just need leveled up.
