When you see 100 lunar energy on the balance tracker bar, while still casting the spell that will proc lunar, queue a Starfire. This will take you into Lunar eclipse with a spell that will fully benefit from the transition, as the Starfire shoudl land shortly after the Wrath that proc's eclipse. Then follow up with Insect swarm THEN moonfire. For Solar at 100? same thing but queue a Wrath, then IS followed by MF.
Treants are perfectly fine on trash.
Cast dots only at the start of the rotation, at the top of each eclipse, if you are on the move (IS > MF spam) or if you are still 12+ seconds away from procing the next eclipse..
Gear wise, get haste, once hit capped it is very very strong for us.
I'm not sure if you've had a chance to read the Boomkin guide I have posted on Wowhead yet but
here is a link

Spell cast time calc happens at the beginning of the cast.
Spell crits calc happens at cast completion. (Think about NG proc watching back int he day)
Spell dmg calc happens at spell landing. (Think about old eclipse when you stoped SF's early in Lunar)
As for transition, this is the same advice as given in the balance TTT thread at EJ, lol.
