Prot Pally Tips

I find Prot pallies to be very fun and useful but I need some tips on them PvP wise at 85. I've been Holy all through leveling so I'm not sure what are some tricks when being Prot. I also prefer to try out Prot before I try out Ret and maybe some good PvP spec examples or showing me some prosperous Prot PvP pallys would help greatly.

Would be better to go to Ret and not bother with Prot PvP. The only thing Prot is useful for is guarding flags, tanking those few bosses and guarding a node for a few mins until reinforcements arrive. Aside from that Prot isn't that great.

Here is a Ret PvP guide. It is a little outdated, I'm not sure if there was any major changes between 4.2.2 and now. But it should get you headed into the right direction.

There is also the Paladin forums at www.arenajunkies.com. You can also look at some youtube vids of Paladins to get a little help.

If you still want to stay as Prot for PvP, know that you won't do as great as Ret but you can still do some damage. I haven't done PvP as prot so I know very little as it, but I know that Ret and Holy are much better for it in general.

Thanks for the great tips. I just wanted to try out Prot just because I love how it works in lower levels but I'll make sure I try out ret.
