depends on what you want to do, bg's or arena. Or what kind of prot pvp you are going for.
This
is my current spec for arp/crit prot pvp, took a break from pvp but got the urge to step back.
The spec is more for arena but works in bg's nicely too, vigilance is for the damage reduction for a healer or a more squishy partner, not much but better then none. I took incite for extra crit on hs since i like to throw in a shield bash when i got allot of rage and then spam hs, due to the daze effect, and some extra damage on top of the auto swings is always nice (that explains the glyph).
Ive tanked hc's with this spec too, wouldent tank a raid with it thou.

Heroic Strike does not seem like that good of an ability for PvP, especially when it's a 1v1 or arena-like situation, since every point of rage is valueable and when using Heroic Strike you don't generate any rage. This is just what it seems like to me, but I've yet to hit 80 so maybe I'm off.
I admit i had my doubt about it to, but the thing is that it helps me take down pretty much anyone (with equal gear) in 1 stun combination, though you need to have a almost full ragebar for it.
