Prot is so much better since 3.0 that i actually begin to wonder how people actually were prot warriors before it. I just cant fathom it. Prot ftw.

I've been prot since 60 when I respecced in order to hold aggro against a feral druid friend who I was leveling with. As arms, I couldn't hold threat and therefore my rage and dps were really low when I grouped with him.

At first I was a pretty useless tank. I remember an early run in Ramps where the fury warr got out her shield to OT as I was so rubbish at holding aggro. But I kept going and, learned how to do it and fell in love with the spec.

I loved it before, but since 3.0 tanking has become so much more fun, and a viable spec for soloing and pvp. Couple this with the extremely easy normal instances and I'm not surprised more warriors are starting to tank. I think though that the number of tanks will drop off in heroics and raids as the content gets harder and ex dps single button spammers decide they don't like geting blamed for wipes.
