as enticing as the imp's MD buff might be the extra point in demo to get FG makes raiding with any pet other than the FG a bad idea.
not only does he do very good damage but he's far more 'buffable' than the imp and will scale better in raids once he gets all those melee buffs.
other than that, there's very little choice over points in 30/40 and 40/30 builds. most are no-brainers.

Agreed and agreed.
41/30 should be a felguard/emberstorm build. As it is its only really friendly to lower gear/skill levels imho, if its not min/maxed it just can't keep up with the play.
imp builds just don't cut it imho, but if you really want to try one i'd try
this
and add that final point wherever depending on your playstyle/needs. Personally I'd put it in mana feed.

Believe it or not, but 5 seconds running threw the stickies and you would find one.
^^ QFT. Stoodz build is..... interesting. I have no idea why he's put imp talents imto a felguard build!
try this
, it will provide challenges keeping the felguard alive, but with the abundance of group healing (chain heal/circle of healing, etc) in raids at the moment you should be ok.

Exact spec I'm using atm, and with a few epics (25 naxx, heroic, badge) and mostly blues/greens, I top charts, or get in top 5. I usually get out dps'd by hunters, but that's it.
The spec is nice, send FG, demonic empower, trinket, CoA(or CoE), Corr, immol, incin, incin, incin, repeat.

bizarre comment.
If you'd ever set foot in Naxx you'd understand that not every fight is felguard friendly.
Not all fights are caster friendly either. Some fights are very melee friendly. Some fights are very pet friendly (typically ones where ranged are moving all the time but the pet can park on the boss). That's where pet specs really shine, and that's what the skills are for - to adapt a tactic and make it work with a pet. I know locks who do all of Naxx with negligable pet deaths. It was true in BC and seems to still be true - most people who don't believe in FG raiding suck at it, and have witnessed other people sucking at it. As an added factor, people routinely fail to model the DPS in spreadsheets.
