hey all,
I am wanting to heal in PVP and was wondering before i start my toon, what class is the best healer for PVP?
If you have a spec to use that would also be helpful.

Shaman, Priest, Druid and Paladins are excellent for PvP. If you want a challenge, try 1st aid spec DK.

I don't know if theres really a best, but I'd say the easiest is druid, because you can just use instant cast HoT's on the run. Most people like to target the healer first, so being mobile is really important for pvp. But each of the major healing classes has their own ups and downs, so just pick the one that you enjoy to play the most.

druid best, run HoTs, HoTs on yourself and no one can stop you :) its really hard even with mortal strike, when you stack 3x lifebloom,rejevunation and regrowth, its almost imposibble to kill you and to kill your teammates, druid is best, then shaman

Untrue, its all about skill. A resto shaman was in the #1 rated 2v2 arena teams s1, s2, s3, and s4
i know, but what can shaman do if someone attack you? just spam heal on yourself, druid? put hots, put bear and start attacking, after some time spam hots again, he has bigger chance to survive i think and he is funnier i think

The only way to beat a resto shaman so far was to run it oom. You have to do a massive amount of burst to take down the shaman first. Now I'm not sure if it will work the same since shams seem to have much better mana returns. Along with this, a resto sham in good gear can still pull over 1.5k dps. That's a LOT of burst, along with the only really viable disrupt a healer has anymore.
Druid is VERY hard to heal with. Especially in pvp with the new burst. Lets just hope that at level 80 it's different. Before the LB nerf, druid was a top healing candidate. Now, not so much. Nourish may have changed that tho.
I hate pvp as a holy pally. HATE IT! If you are good at it, gratz to you. I can't do anything as a holy pally in pvp unless they leave me alone to spam heals or I have an off healer to give me an extra 5k hp to last thru the interupts.
Priest used to be fun for pvp. I'm not so sure now. I'm not sure if a blessed resil spec is better or a disc spec is better now. Priest pvp healing took a radical change when they nerfed Focused Will to uselessness. Ever since, I haven't been able to do as amazingly well as before the nerf, and dropped 100 rating and could never get back up to what I used to be. Instant casts just don't seem to keep a priest alive anymore, and no one lets you G Heal. Maybe the new CoH with Blessed Resil is the survival spec now. IDK....

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion, have you ever played a resto shaman?yes on friends account and i must admit, if you are good with your class then doesnt matter which class you play, if you are good as a holy paladin be holy paladin :)
same to druid,sham and priest
p.s. have anybody tried to heal group as a blood DK :) new healing class you will slay enemies and end up with group with full health :-D

In Arena the Healer must have a good capacity to maintain the partner alive even if you're incapacitated, stunned or something like that
Druids got lots of Hot's that will keep their mates alive even if they're "away" for a lot of time
Disc Priest (PVP Based Spec for priests) has renew and Shield, Prayer of Mending and have a good mana pool and good mana regeneration so you can spam Flash Heals when you're not "away" without going oom very fast, has some talent based spells like Pain Supression that keep other ppl alive for a lot more time and Penance that is a very fast heal... they also have Divine Aegis each time a heal crits
Holy Pala dont know very well
Resto Shammys dont know also... But i think its a best choice for 3vs3 arena due to Chain Heal, not sure about that tough
I play more with a priest and Disc Spec is a good choice for PVP Healing... awesome on a single target but lacks when healing Multiple targets unless the priest is really skilled and can do a good spell rotation and switch targets efficiently

Shamans for earthshield, now Talented 8 charges, and is affected by SP, can crit over 1k, negating a 500 auto attack x2. also, chain heal in 3v3 and the ability to place supportive totems in arena + BG's.
