Question: What's the cheapest upgrade from Wrath to Mists?
Return to board index
As the subject line inquires, what is the cheapest way to upgrade from Wrath to Mists?
Just curious as I didn't get into Cata, and really don't want to pay for that one if at all possible.
I may be wrong here, but I believe if you receive a Scroll of Resurrection, it bumps you up to Cata automatically. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Since Cata is between 5-10 bucks at this point....
You do get an free upgrade to Cata if someone resurrects you, but only if your account is inactive, and has been inactive since some time in March- forget the exact date.
Thanks for directing me to the Scroll of Resurrection...a quick search on the Blizzard site reveals:
What benefits are there for accepting a Scroll of Resurrection invitation?
The Scroll’s recipient immediately receives a free digital upgrade to World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Additionally, the Scroll’s receiver can permanently boost one character to level 80 so that they can jump straight into the adventure for their 7 days of free game time!
Monks are not eligible to receive the level boost reward. Pandaren characters that are not Monks may receive a level boost only after they have chosen a faction.
The digital upgrade and level boost will only be available for scrolls sent during the promotion period. Players who accept a Scroll of Resurrection that was sent after the promotion period ends will still receive 7 days of free game time, but will not be eligible for the digital upgrade or level boost.
Right- so how long has your account been inactive?
I've been expired since February 2010.
Then you should be fine. Have one of your friends send you a scroll of res. Or, if you don't know anyone who is still playing, post in the Scroll of Res thread for one.
