I think if you have the quests in your log, they should stay, but otherwise they'd probably be deleted. Like the Naxx-40 quests.

Yeah, this, I think I still have opening of AQ quests on a few alts.

All the quests related to content that changed or removed (AQ Gate Openeing, Dark Portal, etc.) were removed from everyone in the game when Cataclysm launched with the revamp.

The quests for the Eternal Justice Battlegear and such, still exist - they are given out by NPCs near the instance portals to AQ. However, the opening quests involving the head of Broodlord Lashlayer, etc, have been removed.
