Generally speaking, 41/0/20 and its variants are the introductory level raiding spec. As you also want to farm outside of raiding, I'd suggest something like the first spec senselyang listed. you've still got all of the key drain tanking talents as well as the aggro reduction, range, and even a couple of points in suppression for spell hit.
Wouldn't try PvPing with it, however, unless you like touring the graveyard. ;-)
A couple of options which may suit your circumstances better:http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IiMrVRfkqtbobxZxx0z
- this is more of a general purpose build. It will fare far better if you plan to do BGs, and the extra stamina may be useful if your gear is poor. To get it, you give up on some crit and utility (shadow embrace) for your raid.http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IVMrVRftVt0ooZxx0tM
- here you've picked up Imp Life Tap, 1/2 Imp Healthstones (useful if there are multiple locks in the raid), and Amplify Curse while giving up suppression and intensity. Keep in mind that there's a LOT of flexibility in the lower levels of the affliction tree and you should always discuss your builds with the other warlocks you'll be raiding with so there isn't crossover.
Multiple warlocks with 5/5 Shadow Embrace is wasted points
Multiple warlocks with the same level in Imp Healthstones is wasted points.
Every raiding warlock should have Imp Shadow Bolts and Bane
Do not underestimate the usefulness of aggro reduction talents (Imp Drain Soul, Destructive Reach)
Suppression is a crutch for your affliction spells. Gather spell hit so you can get rid of it.
You're a warlock. As affliction, you're a boss killer. Let the mages take out the trash - you're getting everyone their epics.
