Hiya, first post. I'll start out with the basics.

First, I decided to give up on my DK. Seeing as how they were crawling around Dalaran like some sort of plate wearing plague, I decided that it may be a better idea to take up a different path of slaughter. So I chose rogue. Always wanted a high level rogue, but I hate making alts and going through the same bland leveling crap that I've been through for years. But with Heirloom gear, it made the bland leveling crap...not so bland. Still crap, though.

Secondly, I made a rogue for PVP. After having a high Armor Penetration rogue completely obliterate my DK in a PVP match, I wanted to see what all the hooplah was about. Not really interested in Armor Penentration anymore, but I do enjoy the Mutilate build(s).

Now on to my inquiries. Character Name: Taterjuice. Realm: Doomhammer.

1. Rate my spec. I believe I logged off in PvE Mutilate spec. (At work currently, so this is the only WoW Related site that isn't blocked by our nazi firewall).

2. Rate my gear. Ignore the Rings. A bit horrible in terms of stats (Especially the PVP one...but then again, I do alot of PVP).

Am I missing an obvious upgrade here? I know the bracers are PVP bracers, and I would probably get more out of my PVE Raiding experience by switching over to some 226/232 bracers (when I find some).

If you aren't going to link your armory, at least give us a hint if you're playing US, EU, whatever, so we know which armory to search. Found him on US for anyone wondering about it.

Your spec is bad. No, vigor is not useful for pve. Neither is master of deception. Neither is hemo with daggers, but I digress. I guess that's your pvp spec. The best performing mutilate spec is this.

Your meta is bad. This is the only meta you should use for pve. Stop gemming hit in yellow sockets and gem agi+crit gems instead. Never EVER socket a gem with stamina in your pve gear. One nightmare tear in a blue (or yellow, in lack of blue) socket will keep your meta active and is superior to any other stamina gem.

You're an engineer. Slap hyperspeed accelerators onto your gloves, they are better than crusher.

Regarding your offhand: a slow offhand is fine if you have no other option. A faster offhand, though, will always outperform a slower one, assuming similar iLvl. Either berserking on your daggers, or mongoose.

edit: OOH OOH, forgot to tell you that you should replace your pvp items you're using in pve with pve items.

But I guess you already knew that one.

Yeah, I kinda figured replacing my PVP gear with some PVE stuff would be more beneficial. Working on that now.

As for the gemming hit...I don't know what was going through my mind. Was doing ToC10 and I saw a few misses pop up, so I overreacted and started slapping +hit in every socket I could find. I don't miss anymore...but my damage is a bit lackluster lol.

As for the hyperspeed accelerators...I was thinking about that. Gotta keep the buff up and running when it hits cooldown though. Suppose I could macro it in to a 5-point combo or something.

Thanks for the help and tips though. Any ideas on some easily accessed PVE replacements? Doing some research now, and nothing is standing out as something I'd be able to snag in a single run.
