If you want to go to dungeon's a lot then I would steer clear of DPS classes and pick something that can tank/heal, likes a paladin/druid because they also have a DPS spec just incase that's the route you want to take, pure DPS classes are overabundant and I found it hard to find groups with my hunter, now that I play paladin, not so much.
On the flip side, to be good at PVP with a non-pure DPS class, it's not that your going to be worse, it just takes more know-how. You have to be a little better at your class, its not just button mashing, it takes some thinking.
I would say Paladin or Druid. I love my pally.
