Recommended Raffle Addon?
Return to board index
Looking to get a recommendation on a raffle/lottery addon to use within our guild.
The one I found on curse mentions in the description that it provides free tickets to all players whereas we're looking for something that allows players to pay for entry tickets.
I know of one that whispers the entrant with their ticket numbers when they enter as well as allows you to type /raffle or /lottery when the host is on to see the current status but I don't know the name of it.
Any help/suggestions would be appreicated :)

Are you just looking to gamble during your raids?
We do two things. One is "leet" or 1337. It's between two people and you start by deciding on a wager. It can be any amount; I'm a high roller and played for 20k this Tuesday. The game started by one of the two people typing /roll 1337. The second person then does /roll out of the result from person 1. So an example game would go:
P1) /roll 1337
Player 1 rolled a 735.
P2) /roll 735
Player 2 rolled a 329
P1) /roll 329
Player 1 rolled a 20
And it keeps alternating until a player rolls a 1. The person who rolled the 1 loses and gives the other person the wagered amount.
There is another game called GCG, or Gentleman's Club Gambler. It's an addon you run, you'll have to find it online somewhere. The game starts with the "host" using the addon to post the wager. It will say something like this:
Porcell: (GCG) Playing for 5000g. Type 1 in raid to play. (-1 to leave)
At this point everyone who wants to play in this round types 1 in raid chat. The addon reads all of these 1s and adds them to the eligible list. After 30 seconds, the Host activates the next thing:
Porcell: (GCG) Last call. Type 1 in raid to play. (-1 to leave)
Then they hit the final button.
Porcell: (GCG) Roll
At this point everyone does a /roll 5000. The roll is out of the total "wager" amount. So if you were playing for 40000, everyone would /roll 40000. So everyone rolls and the Loser is the lowest roll, the Winner is the highest roll, and the amount won is the difference between the two. GCG keeps track of the players, the rolls, does the math, and announces the winner. So an example would be:
Porcell rolls 4932.
Barlenor rolls 3831.
Yayap rolls 2003.
Tinock rolls 392.
Turagent rolls 2345.
Nashurelee rolls 4520
Porcell: (GCG) Tinock owes Porcell 4540 gold.
We play GCG a lot. It will also keep a total for amount won/lost and you can run a report out to Raid chat.
