Remx, your build advice...

Your ARPrep you prefer, I actually find it to utilize alot of key talents and like it alot. Question though, how about would you normally, go with using CBP's? Cheap, slice, hemox5 Evis/kidney? skip slice? Thanks man, and oh yeah, as i am collecting armor to go to arena's, effectively, is mace build still optimum for normal bg's? Is there one I should use until then? I don't mind respeccing. I hope you say SS, if not its cool, and if it is SS or SS/hemo. How would you use that? I mean I know the basics. but in SS hemo is it about restealthing as much as possible and opening again?
I don't really employ any preset CP string, as between stun resists, dodges, trinkets etc, any plan you had going into a fight can go really wrong really easily, and if you're not prepared then things are going to start heading south.
I have a general idea of how I'm going to approach each fight based on the class I'm up against, but after the opener and first few attacks I really just adapt my strategy to what it takes to counter my opponent's every action. Playing reactively is a big part of our class.
For instance, on a mage I will generally open with a garrote into a shiv to apply crippling, but from then on any number of things can happen. He could blink after the silence wore off, in which case I'd sprint to him and KS. I'd be expecting him to either trinket or iceblock this KS - if he didn't he'd take too much damage and it would be too hard for him to recover and win the fight. But even by this point, his shield could have snared me forcing me to vanish in which case I'd be in the position to open again if I was quick enough. I could go on and run through every possibility... but by the end of it you'd only know one way a fight could play out, against only one of the classes in the game.
There's just far too many variables in each fight for you to account for in a preset strategy. Your best chance at winning is to get in the habit of countering each class' go-to techniques. I feel the best (or at least fastest) way to get better at this is by dueling. You can pick which class you want to work on, and spend as much time as you want trying to perfect your style when fighting that class.
ARPrep maces is more than fine for normal BG'ing. By all means, if you want to try shadowstep hemo then go for it. You won't notice much of a difference between the two specs in BGs, but you might have a little more trouble in the arena on fights where adrenaline rush had previously given you two much needed bursts of high damage. It's not a great idea to actively seek re-stealths in any bracket except maybe 5v5s when you're being left alone, unless you're doing so do get away to bandage or eat. Otherwise your partner/s will be constantly fighting one man down while you try to sink back into the shadows.
Oh yeah for arena, hands down some form of combat i understand that, invis is not as important as pressure, when i made the statement about ShS and restealthing I was prefering to normal BG's. For Arena's I am pretty much going Mace's, probaly ARPrep, I like the boost from sub, and the maintinance from combat. Thanks man.
