Reputation with who?

I'm a level 85 doing my Loremaster in Kalimdor at the moment, and I keep getting rep with "Horde".

I'm tracking my rep with Bilgewater Cartel (which isn't changing), and all other Horde factions are 999/1000. I even checked to see if I was getting rep with Horde Expedition for some strange reason, but nothing. What reputation is this that I am getting?

Horde is a collection of all the Horde factions (I guess they haven't included the Bilgewater Cartel yet) but it only takes you to Friendly. So if you are 999/1,000 exalted with all of the other factions, nothing is going to change.

Here's how it works.

When you complete a quest, you usually get a reputation increase with the faction the questgiver belongs to. When you've maxed out your reputation with that faction (999/1000 exalted) the increase "overflows" to the other Horde Factions.
However, this only works up until friendly. It stops at honored.

In your case, you're already exalted with every single one of the Horde Factions but Bilgewater, but you're also already revered with bilgewater.
That's why you don't see an increase anywhere...

Hmm I see, strange that it's still showing up in my chatbox as Rep Gain, you'd think that it wouldn't display any such thing, in following with what happens when you max out other reps and cease to see rep gains in your chat window. Ohwell.

Back in the day (I'm saying like this, because I don't really know if it still exists), there were an actual reputation called "Horde" (and "Alliance"). There was, however, no real ways to get this reputation, except from spillovers. It was visible on the old Armory, but I can't seem to find it on the new one. It could perhaps be leftovers from that "hidden faction".
