I was wondering, is there any way to compile a set of search results, preferably in a database format like XLS, CSV or ODS? Not the entire wowhead DB, I'm not trying to make a clone or anything, just a short list of items, from say ilevel 272-359.
I'm trying to compile a personal spreadsheet of level 85 Cataclysm upgrades for each class, and what I'd like to do is have a separate column for item names, levels, stats, and sources.
I was also considering playing around with adding stat weights to it so that I could sort by whatever class/spec weighting I'd like to see which items for which slots are best, and where to get them.
I understand that I can (somewhat) do this via Wowhead's search already, but there are a few key ideas that are missing that I'd like to implement myself (sort by item source, etc.)
I also understand that this may affect wowhead ad revenue in some way by not doing my research directly from the site, but I will most certainly not drop wowhead as my source for all things wow, and since I don't think more than a handful of users will need this kind of thing, I can't imagine one or two users will affect revenue all that much anyway. Consider it a tradeoff between ad revenue and bandwidth cost. Trust me, I'm
That said, I totally understand if it's not possible, feasible or otherwise doable, I just wanted to throw in a request and see if I got anything I could work with.
Thanks for reading,

This is something that I think Wowhead users would definitely benefit from. For now, you
can
use the wish list feature and print it off if you wish.
