Hey there,

If you use phpBB as your forums, you might want to have a look here. Otherwise, unfortunately the code can change drastically depending on your forums, your website.. so a "general howto" is not really possible.

Have a look at that link anyway, otherwise if you can't do it by yourself you should get someone else to do it for you. A howto probably wouldn't be much use if you don't have PHP/JS experience :)
